TikTok Announces 2025 U.S. Awards Nominees
Adshine.pro11/05/20252 viewsAfter hosting regional editions across the globe over the past two years, TikTok is now set to debut its own U.S. version of the TikTok Awards, an event designed to celebrate the creators, trends, and viral moments that have turned the platform into what it calls “the heartbeat of culture for 170 million Americans.”
The upcoming TikTok Awards U.S. will give fans the chance to vote for their favorite creators and moments, leading up to a live ceremony on December 18th at the Hollywood Palladium.
According to TikTok:
“The TikTok Awards ceremony will be presented in front of a live audience of hundreds of creators, complete with a red carpet livestream welcoming arrivals fresh from their GRWMs at 5 p.m. The show will begin LIVE on TikTok at 6 p.m. PT and on Tubi, the official streaming partner of the TikTok Awards 2025.”
For those who miss it live, the show will also be available on-demand the following day on Tubi.
TikTok says the event will “celebrate the most memorable videos, the creative innovators, the breakthrough artists, and our community’s favorite storytellers” — in essence, honoring the talent that drives the app’s cultural influence.
Voting opens on November 18th, with users able to cast their votes directly in-app through a dedicated portal. Fourteen categories will be featured this year, including:
- Creator of the Year
- - Video of the Year
- - Rising Star of the Year
- - Breakthrough Artist of the Year
- - Storyteller of the Year
- - Muse of the Year
- - TikTok for Good Award
- - “My Show Is On” Award (Film and TV)
- - MVP of the Year (Sports)
- - “Okay Slay” Award (Fashion and Beauty)
- - “I Was Today Years Old” Award (Education)
- - “I Immediately Added to Cart” Award (TikTok Shop)
- - CapCut Creator of the Year
- - TikTok LIVE Creator of the Year
- Nominees in each category have already been announced, with fan voting officially beginning on November 18th.
Beyond being a celebration of creativity, the U.S. TikTok Awards also serve a broader strategic purpose for the company. By spotlighting its influence on American culture and economy, TikTok is reinforcing its significance at a time when its future in the U.S. remains uncertain.
The platform continues to push back against the “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act”, legislation that could still force TikTok’s removal from the U.S. market if fully enforced.
While President Donald Trump has delayed enforcement of the act for nearly a year, his administration has been in ongoing discussions to establish a deal that would place TikTok under U.S. ownership — a move that would comply with the Senate-approved law. However, a final resolution has yet to be reached.
In the meantime, TikTok is working hard to highlight its economic and cultural contributions to the United States, using initiatives like the TikTok Awards to strengthen public goodwill and underscore its value to American users and businesses alike.
Ultimately, the event is both a celebration of creativity and a strategic statement of cultural power. While it will undoubtedly shine a light on top creators and viral trends, it also functions as a timely reminder to lawmakers and the public that TikTok isn’t just an app — it’s a cultural engine that fuels modern entertainment and creativity across the U.S.
