Meta is broadening its AI-powered translation tools for Reels, extending support to two additional languages — a move that will allow creators to connect with audiences across even more regions.

 

Originally launched in August, Meta’s AI translation for Reels began with English and Spanish, using advanced tools that not only translate but also lip-sync the creator’s voice to match the selected language. Now, Meta is taking the next step by adding Hindi and Portuguese into the mix.

With Meta AI, creators can now effortlessly translate and dub their Reels, breaking down linguistic barriers so their work can resonate with viewers worldwide. With multilingual translations across English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Hindi, creators can now share their content across some of the largest Reels markets on both Instagram and Facebook.”

 

The inclusion of Hindi is especially significant, considering India is now the largest single market for both Facebook and Instagram, surpassing the United States by a wide margin. The ability to deliver more natural translations tailored to this massive audience could give many creators a substantial edge in expanding their reach.

 

“Meta AI mimics a creator’s voice, maintaining their tone and cadence while translating the content, so the final product feels genuine — as if the creator is speaking directly in another language.
