“Music has always been something that brings people together, and since the very beginning Facebook has been about showcasing what you’re into and connecting you with your friends. And now, Facebook is making it easier than ever to add music to your Feed posts for more ways to express yourself and create fun, engaging content to share with others.”


It’s a move that feels oddly reminiscent of the MySpace era—back when every profile page was an audio minefield of auto-playing theme songs, personal anthems, and emotional soundtracks. Whether we want to relive that chaotic auditory nostalgia in 2025 is another matter entirely.


Beyond simply attaching a track, Facebook is also introducing themed visual backgrounds tailored to specific artists.
