YouTube Levels Up Creator Tools with CTA Promote and Expanded Image Options

YouTube is rolling out a series of updates aimed at giving creators more flexibility in how they manage content, promote videos, and connect with audiences — including improvements to Community Posts, new call-to-action options for in-stream promotions, and enhanced editing for auto-dubbed clips.
Starting with Community Posts — YouTube is expanding the creative scope for channel updates by allowing more images per post.
According to the platform:
“Until now, creators could only upload five images per post on their channel. Now, creators will be able to upload up to 10 images per post.”
While simple, this change opens up more space for visual storytelling, additional context, and richer engagement with subscribers. YouTube says the update will be available across all surfaces this week.
On the editing side, creators using YouTube’s auto-dubbing feature will soon have greater control over adjustments. If you edit a video that already has auto-dub tracks, the system will now reprocess those clips so the dubbing matches the new edits.
“Creators will soon be able to use Studio Editor for videos that have automatic dubbing enabled. After changes are saved, the autodub tracks will be recreated to match the edits.”
This enhancement ensures that multi-language accessibility remains intact, even after post-publishing tweaks. Auto-dubbing is currently being expanded to more users, with all verified creators now having access. YouTube also notes that the ability to edit videos with manually uploaded multi-language captions is planned for later this year.

For promotions, YouTube is introducing more detailed call-to-action (CTA) options in YouTube Promote campaigns.
As shown in the example provided by the platform, creators running campaigns to drive website visits will now be able to specify outcomes like “Book Now,” “Get Quote,” “Contact Us,” and more. At this stage, the new CTA options are only available on desktop.
YouTube Promote allows creators to boost Shorts or videos directly within YouTube or YouTube Studio, bypassing Google Ads. Campaign goals can include driving subscriptions, increasing video views, and other engagement-focused objectives.
While none of these changes are seismic, they do give creators extra tools to refine content presentation, keep multi-language versions accurate, and drive more targeted promotional activity — small but practical steps in YouTube’s ongoing effort to support creator growth.
